Arterial systemic stressless volume
Notation in mathematical model
ωAL0
Allometric exponent
1

The parameter is included in mathematical description of the dependence of arterial systemic pressure from blood volume in the specified part of vascular system (23), (25). "Stressless volume in the specified part of vascular system" means blood volume in this part, if blood pressure is equal to atmospheric pressure

(23)
(25)

The parameter characterizes base (independent from nervous and hormonal influences) part of arterial systemic stressless volume and is used for modelling of pathologic modes, where effect of vasospasm exists, such as  “vascular collapse”. For vasospasm effect there is a smaller value of stressless volume. The parameter also takes part in the modelling of vasodilator drug action leading to vascular relaxation, i. e. to an increase of stressless volume.
