Paroxysmal tachycardia

Arrhythmic aetiology is not taken into account in our model, we consider only its influence on hemodynamics. The modelling is realized by making appropriate alterations in the formula of cardiac cycle duration (15).

Paroxysmal tachycardia - a rapid heart rate, which occurs from time to time (paroxysmal), a kind of arrhythmia. There are two kinds of paroxysmal tachycardia: paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (mostly it is a symptom of neurosis, the heart rate may be 180 to 260 beats per minute and ventricular (mostly it is a symptom of cardiac organic disease, the heart rate may be 140 to 200 beats per minute). The attack of paroxysmal tachycardia usually lasts from one minute to several days and more, it ends suddenly.

In the current model version paroxysmal tachycardia is simulated by random increase of heartbeat. The value of heartbeat is also random with average 200 beats per minute. The values of average paroxysm frequency, average paroxysm duration and average heartbeat frequency are defined by the user .
