Regurgitation factor in the aortic valve
Notation in mathematical model
rHLAL
Allometric exponent
0

The parameter describes aortic insufficiency leading to blood regurgitation from the aorta to the left ventricle in diastolic phase. This pathology is named "aortic valve failure".

The mathematical description of this pathology is determined by the equation describing blood flow through aortic valve:

(31)

The second part of the formula describes the process of blood regurgitation through aortic valve in diastolic phase in case of valvular locking defect (0 < rHLAL< 0.3). In its normal state rHLAL takes on the value 0.
