Regurgitation in the tricupsid valve
Notation in mathematical model
rVLHR
Allometric exponent
0

The parameter describes tricupsid insufficiency leading to blood regurgitation from the right ventricle to the right atrium and venae cavae in diastolic phase. This pathology is named "tricupsid valve failure".

The mathematical description of this pathology is determined by the equation describing blood flow through tricupsid valve:

(36)

The second part of the formula describes the process of blood regurgitation through tricupsid valve in diastolic phase in case of valvular locking defect (0 < rVLHR< 0.3). In its normal state rVLHR takes on the value 0.
