Saturation of arterial blood
Notation in mathematical model
SpO2
Allometric exponent
0

The saturation is calculated, as an amount relation oxyhemoglobin HeO2 to total of hemoglobin He:
(72)

This parameter is included into the equation for concentration of oxygen in arterial blood in the form of SpO2

(71)

where factor of proportionality СH is meaningful to oxygen capacity of hemoglobin in blood.

The parameter SpO2is used for modelling of pathologic mode hypoxia. The main characteristic of this mode is a reduction of its value in comparison with the normal one.
